UPDATE:
I got a Blackjack by Samsung and hubby didn't do too bad either. He got a Samsung Synch. Which doesn't have a qwerty keyboard or anything. But he now has the ability text, surf the net easier, download songs and check his email. So all in all not too shabby. And to top it off I got a Postal worker discount which meant all my accessories were 50% off and my monthly bill is now going to be 25% off! 
Only drawback, how the heck do I work this thing? It is driving me into madness. But hey I can play all day at work tomorrow so.... 
Surely I can figure it out in an 8 hr workday.

I have Cingular as my cell phone carrier. We have a family plan. We have been able to upgrade per our contract for awhile now but I have put it off. So while on vacation my hubby decided to play lifeguard (long story) and didn't have time to take his cell phone out of his pocket. Needless to say his cell phone is now shot. 
Now I am going to have to make a decision of upgrading to a new phone. Of course I am gonna get a nicer one and he will get my phone because that is how I roll (and he is totally cool with it) 
But seriously, he is happy with anything and I am not - now that is THE true story.
I really want a blackberry. I have been wanting one for awhile now. I want to have something at work that I can check my email with and persue the net. (Since I am so paranoid of the Postal Police and their watching my every move). I have no clue how much more it will be for me if I get one. I also have really been interested in the Blackjack for its music capability.
Not sure why I posted this but just to let everyone know of my tech predicament. Oh! And my damn laptop hinge is still broken. 
Damn Best Buy all to hell. Those evil wenches.

4I was given a Blackberry yesterday (I'm not one upping you , I really was I promise!
). But the only problem is it's locked and I either have to pay for to be unlocked or do it myself. My family think I'm inspector Gadget or something! but I do hear lots of
great things about them so hopefully they're worth it.

7hubby is used to it and as long as i am not giving him old bbq grills and buying a new one for myself it is all good in da hood.
8Crispet, It takes a looong time going through forums with really geeky people who speak a sort of technologically advanced phone language that I don't understand. But it's mostly entering the right code at the right time to match the make and model.

12My mom and brother just got blackjacks a few weeks ago and love them. I could have got one also but I am too cheap to buy a new phone when nothing is wrong with mine.
13ohh, that's what I wanted but they cost too much even with our upgrade! lol I ended up with the red RAZR. Hope you get it and have fun with it.
14there was a new phone coming out that i read on geeksugar a couple months ago that i think i was trying to wait until it was put in production but now i can't remember what it was called. i need to check the archives.
